Bike Wise Month Feb 2009: What's in it for your Group?

Bike WiseBike Wise runs all of February 2009.

Is anyone in your area running an event that your group can be part of?
Or does your group have an idea for an event (e.g. social ride, bike maintenance)? Register your event by 5 December 08 and receive a co-ordinators pack (lots of free goodies, but may be limited, so best to get in quick).

2008 CAN Do

Critical Mass ThumbnailThe 2008 CAN Do, CAN's annual members' get-together, was held in Christchurch in early October. The weekend included CAN's AGM, workshops, training, rides, plenty of food and drink, and a lot of time to catch up with fellow "CANners" from around the country. Attached to it were a digital hackfest, the Gemini Cycle Friendly Awards, and the CANterbury Ride.

CAN's 9-Point Plan for Cycle Safety

Petition PresentationPetition PresentationFor many Kiwis the distressing deaths of two cyclists in the Wellington region on Thursday 19 June have highlighted the need for New Zealand's roads to be made safer for people already cycling or wanting to take it up. The 9-Point Plan for Cycle Safety has been the focus of an e-petition.
